KJCCC Women's Soccer Teams Hold Steady In NJCAA Week 2 Soccer Rankings
CHARLOTTE, NC – Not much change occurred from week to week for the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference within the NJCAA Women’s Soccer Division 1 and 2 top 20 polls as seven teams remain ranked in the latest rankings released on Monday, September 9th.

CHARLOTTE, NC – Not much change occurred from week to week for the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference within the NJCAA Women’s Soccer Division 1 and 2 top 20 polls as seven teams remain ranked in the latest rankings released on Monday, September 9th.
Of the seven ranked teams from the KJCCC, six remain ranked with one school receiving votes as the KJCCC makes up four of the top 20 along with one team receiving votes in the NJCAA Division 1 Women's Soccer poll for a second-straight week. The conference also has two teams featured in the top 20 of the NJCAA Division 2 Women's Soccer poll including their highest-ranked team, number three ranked Johnson County Community College. Also ranked in the NJCAA Division 2 Women's Soccer poll is number 18-ranked Neosho County Community College as the Panthers hold steady following a 4-0 win in their conference opener at Pratt.
In the Division 1 Women's Soccer poll, Butler becomes the highest-ranked team from the KJCCC by moving up two spots to number eight while Kansas City Kansas also moves up the poll one spot from 12th to 11th as the two teams played to a 1-1 draw last week. Following a 4-3 upset by Dodge City on Sunday afternoon, Cowley falls from ninth down to 14th as the Tigers suffered their first loss of the season to move to 2-1-1 overall. Both Hutchinson (number 18) and Barton (receiving votes) remain in their spots they held last week as the Blue Dragons split a pair of games last week with a 3-0 win over Dodge City and a 3-2 loss at Butler while Barton won both of their games by defeating Coffeyville 4-0 and Western Iowa Tech 3-1.
Wednesday brings a big day of conference action across the league number 11 ranked KCKCC plays host to Barton at 5 PM and number eight Butler heads to number 14 Cowley for a 5 PM kickoff. The ranked action continues on Saturday when Barton is back at home for a 1 PM matchup with the number 18 ranked Blue Dragons.
