Three KJCCC Schools Represented In First ITA NJCAA Tennis Rankings Of 2025

GILBERT, Ariz. – With the 2025 NJCAA tennis season underway, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has released its first set of NJCAA men’s and women’s tennis rankings with three of four Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference tennis teams ranked in each of the top 25 polls released on Thursday, February 6th.
Both polls see two of the three teams ranked in each poll come inside the top five with the Pratt men and Cowley women both leading the way with the number three rankings in their respective polls. The Pratt men trail only top-ranked Tyler Junior College and Eastern Florida State College while the Cowley women are behind Hillsborough Community College (Florida) and Tyler Junior College. Ranked fourth in both the women’s and the men’s polls is Seward County while the KJCCC has the Cowley men ranked seventh and the Pratt women ranked 11th.
Non-conference tennis action will continue throughout the month of February and March with conference play beginning for the four teams on Thursday, March 27th when Cowley hosts Seward County to kick off the round-robin schedule among the conference schools. The 2025 NJCAA Region 6 Tennis Championships will take place on Tuesday, April 22nd and Wednesday, April 23rd at Walter P. Blake Tennis Complex in Pratt, Kansas.
