Outdoor track and field season is underway and our week seven of KJCCC Athletes of the Week honors have been awarded.
WOMEN'S TRACK Athlete of the Week
Anita Afrifa (Colby) – She posted a time of 22.97 in the 200-meter dash at the Alex Francis Classic. The team ranks 16th in all divisions, sixth fastest in NJCAA in all-conditions, and ranks 58th in the world in all-conditions, while also being a personal and school record.
WOMEN'S FIELD Athlete of the Week
Ivanilada Semedo (Barton) – Posted a throw of 55.91 meters in the discus at the Alex Francis Classic which is second best in school history and ranks third in the NJCAA. She ranks only behind her teammate in school history in the event.
