USTFCCCA 2025 NJCAA Women's Indoor Track & Field Poll #1
NEW ORLEANS, La. – The first United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association NJCAA Women’s Indoor Track and Field Rating Index of 2025 has been released with seven Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference teams ranked inside the top 25 of the initial poll.
Released on Tuesday, January 28th, the KJCCC has two teams ranked inside the top five and four teams in the top 15 with Cloud County the highest-ranked team from the conference with an index rating of 288.40 points to trail only New Mexico Junior College as the Thunderbirds topped the poll with 330.84 points. Barton Community College is fourth in the poll with 241.76 points after earning a share of the 2024 National Title with Iowa Western Community College with the Reivers ranked third with 258.88 points.
The next highest-ranked team from the KJCCC is Coffeyville Community College with 72.75 points, just ahead of conference foes Cowley (15th, 66.79 points) and Colby (16th, 65.57 points) while Hutchinson is ranked 21st (42.39 points) and Neosho rounds out the poll in 25th (34.81 points). The seven teams ranked from NJCAA Region 6 (KJCCC) are the most in any NJCAA Region with no other region having more than four teams ranked in the top 25 of the season's first poll.
The USTFCCCA NJCAA Women’s Indoor Track and Field Ratings Index will be released each Tuesday throughout the remainder of the season. Six weeks of rankings will be released prior to the final results, which will be published at the conclusion of the 2025 NJCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, which will take place March 7-8 in Lubbock, Texas.
