KJCCC Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week - Week 7
COLBY, Kan. – NJCAA Region 6 Indoor Track and Field Championship High Point Athlete of the Meet N Vanee Anchike and NJCAA Region 6 Indoor Track and Field Championship Field Athlete of the Meet Celine Riddle have been named Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Women’s Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week in the final award week of the indoor season.
N Vanee Anchike (Cloud County) – KJCCC Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week
Anchike was named the NJCAA Region 6 Championships Women's High Point Athlete of the Meet by scoring 32.5 points for Cloud County as the T-Birds won their second-straight Region 6 title. Individually, Anchike won the mile run, 3,000 meters, and 5,000 meters while also helping the CCCC distance medley relay team win the event and break the meet record that was previously set in 2002.
Celine Riddle (Barton) – KJCCC Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week
Riddle was named the NJCAA Region 6 Women's Field Athlete of the Meet after winning both the long jump and triple jump to score 20 points for Barton who finished as NJCAA runners-up.
