Hutchinson shuts out Garden City in game two

Hutchinson, KS-After a heartbreaking loss in game one, the Broncbusters couldn't overcome an early deficit in the series finale.
Taylor Ullery homered for the second time on the day, Megan Davis tossed a two-hit shutout, and Hutchinson beat Garden City 3-0 in game two Wednesday afternoon at Fun Valley.
The Blue Dragons got to starter Ariel Denney early. In the bottom of the first, Ullery blasted the sophomore hurler's 3-1 pitch over the fence in left for a 1-0 advantage.
Things were rather uneventful until the fourth, when Sabrina Luttig led off the frame with a moon shot to left, giving Hutchinson a 2-0 cushion. Five batters later, pinch hitter Cassiy Prucha singled to right, scoring Ashley Wilson from second to make it 3-0.
Garden City brought the tying run to the plate in the fifth with only one out. But Alexis Sconyers struck out, and Madison Biller grounded into a force play. In the sixth, Audrey Graf singled with two outs but never budged off of first once Kaylee Rogers popped out to second. Then in the final inning, the Broncbusters went down in order.
Denney lost for the second time on the day, falling to 6-6 on the season, allowing three runs on seven hits in six innings.
Wilson collected two hits for Hutchinson, and Davis struck out four in the circ
