Mace Krol had a 1.077 slugging percentage in four games against No. 21 Garden City, going 6 for 13 with six RBIs. Krol had two home runs and a triple in a four-game split with the Broncbusters. Krol also went 3 for 6 in a pair of games against Tyler Junior College. Krol has already surpassed his power totals of last season, already hitting four home runs. For the week, Krol hit .473 with four extra-base hits, six RBIs and five runs scored.

In his only start of the week, Shawn Lewick ran his record to 2-0, winning the ninth game of his career, in tossing a six-hit complete game at first place Garden City. Lewick carried a shutout into the seventh inning before surrendering a single run. Lewick is now 9-1 for his career.

Maldonado continued to give the Saints strong starts at the front of their rotation this week as the sophomore right hander pitched 6 strong innings in a 7-5 win over Barton Monday and tossed a 2 hit complete game shutout striking out 8 and not walking a batter Sunday in Seward�s 5-0 win over Dodge City.

Grant paced Seward County to a 6-0 week by hitting an even .500 on the week with 10 runs scored.  The Saints sophomore 3rd baseman was 11 for 22 on the week and recorded at least one hit and one run in each game with 4 multiple hit games and a pair of games in which he scored 3 runs each.
