Alex King batted .500 in the leadoff position
helping Barton Community College to a 4-2 record
to start the conference season including a
four-game split with conference leading Seward
County Community College. King was 11-for-22
with three doubles and a triple for a .727
slugging percentage. King also drew six walks
for a .621 on base percentage while also
stealing four bases. From his center field
position King was just as solid recording
thirteen putouts in thirteen opportunities.

JCCC sophomore right-hander Matt Blackham tossed
a no-hitter in the Cavaliers 5-0 win over the
Red Devils, Friday night. No Allen batter was
able to locate Blackham�s pitches during the
game. He struck out 16 batters with no hits and
a walk. Blackham tossed six innings of no-hit
ball in his previous outing, bringing his no-hit
streak to 13 straight innings.
