Sophomore shortstop Jake Ek had two-game winning hits and a tremendous offensive weekend overall to lead Hutchinson to its first series victory over Garden City since 2008.   For the week, Ek was 9 of 14 (.643 BA) and had a .714 on-base percentage to lead HCC from the No. 2 slot in the order. Ek drove in six runs, including two game-winning RBIs. Ek�s only extra-base hit of the weekend was an RBI triple.   Ek delivered a walk-off single in the bottom of the 8th inning to lead HCC to a 5-4 victory in Game 1 vs. Garden City. He then hit a go-ahead two-run single to break a 3-3 tie in the sixth in Game 2, which turned out to be the game winner.   Weekly Statistics
