Personal Bests Highlights Washburn Open
Men:
-Edwin Rodriguez placed 5th in the Open Division High Jump with a mark of 1.90m (6'2.75"); setting a Personal Best.
-Men's Distance Medley Relay had a solid performance, placing 16th with a time of 11:24.16. Each member (Matt Veloz, Johnny Harris, Etienne James, Daniel Aguilar) all set personal best in their splits.
-Ricardo Mijares continued to see improvement, setting a season best in the 5k, clocking a time of 17:35.63.
-Broncbusters had a slew of sprinters in the 60 meter dash. Adama Faye was the top Broncbuster, clocking in a time of 7.22. Teammate Jamie Miller set a personal best with a time of 7.22; as well as Jacob Romero (7.23) and Quinjerus Miles (7.28) tied their personal best.
Women's:
-Beatriz Ferriera continues her indoor campaign with a 4th place finish in the Women's Shot Put, setting a new personal best of 13.63m (44'8.75").
-Kerrishma Williams had the impressive double for the lady busters, starting off with a 6th place finish in the Open Division High Jump. She tied her Personal best with a height of 1.50m (4'11"). She followed up her performance with a personal best in the long jump, landing herself a mark of 5.12m (16'9.75"); good enough for 11th place.
-Taylor Thorp continues to make improvements with a personal best in the 3K, clocking in a time of 12:14.89. This race would be her 7th personal best she has set this season.
-Women's Distance Medley Relay ran an impressive race, placing 15th with a time of 14:42.47. Each member (Sara Chapa, Chiara Canini, Andrea Serrano, Taylor Thorp) ran a personal best on their splits.
-Women's 4x400m Relay (Canini, Chapa, Breanna Clemens, Serrano) set a season best with a time of 4:34.13 for 21st place.
-Meagan Burkhart set a season best in the Pentathlon with a score of 1430 points. She set personal best in the 60m hurdles with a time of 12.08. She also set a personal best in the Shot Put with a mark of 9.87m (32'4.75").
