
Broncbusters roll Pratt in game two
Garden City, KS-Alyssa Santana homered and drove in four runs, Chiara Olison allowed only two hits, and Garden City smashed Pratt, 14-0 in five innings in game two Saturday afternoon at Tangeman Sports Complex.
Daryelin Rivas Chavez, Olison, and Mara Vonk all homered for the Broncbusters, which improved to 11-9 and 3-3 in conference play.
Leading 3-0 in the bottom of the third, Santana cleared the bases with one swing: a three-run blast that made it 8-0. Two batters later, Chavez drilled a solo shot to left-center giving Garden City a commanding nine-run edge.
Olison added a solo home run, and Keiry Abreu and Maria Avendano Fori provided a pair of run-scoring doubles as part of a five-run fourth.
Olison improved to 5-1 in the circle striking out three, and Ashlyn Powell tossed an inning of scoreless relief.
Pratt starter Karis Stewart was tagged for nine runs on 12 hits in three innings.
