Garden City, KS-Fans didn't have to wait long for Garden City to make some serious noise.
Emmah Sultz posted 20 assists, Miranda Jenkins totaled 11 digs, and the Broncbusters improved to 6-0 with a dominating 25-11, 25-20, 25-8 win over Lamar Tuesday night at Conestoga Arena.
"We are pretty deep because we have so many players who can play different positions," Head Coach, Patrick Hiltz said.
Garden City wasn't challenged at all in the first set, scoring nine of the final 12 points. Then in the second, the Broncbusters found themselves in an early three-point hole before Brandt spiked a ball through middle. They eventually tied things up at 19, Lamar was called for a double hit, and Garden City closed on a 7-1 tear.
"Tola (Maczka) is still learning our offense, Emma is doing a really good job of tutoring her, and both of them are really perfectionists," Hiltz added. "They're going to continue to get better, and our team is going to continue to get better."
The third set was a laugher. Garden City scored the first seven points, Traci Cramer blasted a kill down the left sideline, and the Broncbusters were off and running. Later in the frame, Hiltz's squad created some serious separation with a 10-1 run. Brandt then elevated for a kill down the middle, Lepuissant recorded a service ace, and Fiona Arnold finished off an attack on the left side to end the match.
Jelena Milovanovic finished with nine kills, and Lepuissant, and Arnold each finished with eight.
