
Garden City posts personal bests at KT Woodman
The Broncbuster track teams competed at the KT Woodman Invite.
Men:
-Men's 4x100m Relay (Romero, Randell, Harris, Miles) had the top finish for the Busters, placing 11thwith a time of 43.31.
-A group of sprinters had big personal best performances. Johnny Harris was the top Buster in the 400m, clocking in a new best time of 50.62 for 36th. Quinjerus (51.93), Lemar (52.67), and Huy (1:07.02) all set personal best in the 400m.
-Quinjerus Miles placed 27th in the 100m, setting a new personal best of 10.92 for 27th place.
-Matt Veloz set a new personal best in the 1500m, clocking in 4:21.41. Edgar Ruiz broke the 5 minute barrier for the first time, clocking in a time of 4:58.54.
-Ricardo Mijares set a personal best in the 10k, clocking in a 36:50.06.
-Jockque Randell set a personal best in the 400 meter hurdles, clocking in a 1:00.11.
Women:
-Women's 4x100 meter relay (Campbell, White Eagle, Chapa, Williams) had the highest place finish for the Broncbusters, placing 12th with a time of 53.96.
-Beatriz Ferriera placed 15th in the Shot Put with a mark of 12.18m (39'11.5").
-Shareen Cheruiyot placed 18th in the 3k Steeplechase with a time of 12:49.47. Teammate Andrea Serrano also competed in the event, finishing with a time of 14:29.26; which was her 2nd best time in the event.
-Cloe Kalanick competed in the Discus (37.42m) and Hammer (40.85m), throwing some of her top marks for the season.
-Rebecca Potts set a new personal best in the 1500m, clocking in a time of 6:12.36.
