The Air Force Prep Huskies defeated the Colby Community College Trojans 78-57 Friday at the Colby Event Center, dropping Colby to 1-1 on the young season

Colby had the upper hand early by taking a seven-point lead in the first 10 minutes, but a resilient Huskies team closed the half on a 17-8 run to gain a 37-35 edge at the break. 

The trend continued in the second half. Colby shot 19-69 (27.5%) from the field and just 3 of 23 from three-point range. The poor shooting, coupled with getting outrebounded 66-38, allowed the game to get out of reach.

Greyson Pritzel paced the Huskies with 21 points, and Miles Gibson recorded a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Joshua O'Garro's 21 points led the Trojans. Elijah Wood and Anthony Sellars each poured in 12. 

Colby returns to the Event Center at 4 p.m. Saturday to host Lamar. They tip after the Trojan women's 2 p.m. game.
