Sixth-Ranked Coffeyville Over Trojans

Efficient shooting led the No. 6 Coffeyville Red Ravens over the Colby Trojans 98-83 on Saturday at the Colby Event Center.

Colby took control early, gaining a 27-22 lead midway through the first half. Coffeyville would rally and eventually take a 31-29 lead. The Red Ravens never trailed again, holding a 51-44 advantage at the halftime break and slowly expanding the lead in the second half.

The Ravens outshot the Trojans 64% (38-59) to 46% (33-71). A bright spot for Colby came in taking care of the ball, as they committed just 12 turnovers and forced their opponent into 19.

Coffeyville's Jordan Wildy put up a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds.

Joshua O'Garro led Colby with 21 points. Anthony Sellars added 12, while notable contributions off the bench came from Mike Bell with 20 and 13 from Jaxon Pillich.

The Trojans now have a record of 4-6 overall and 1-3 in the Jayhawk Conference. They return to the Event Center on Wednesday against Garden City Community College (6-2, 1-2). Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. after the women's game.
