(March 19, 2025) Mena, Arkansas - Winners of 11 of their last 12 games, the ladies found themselves in the Week 3 NJCAA DII Softball Rankings at #25 and moved up in the Week 4 Polls to #24 this past Monday. The Bucks were supposed to take on Ouachita Baptist's JV team on Monday, but the doubleheader was canceled. The Bucks had to wait a few more days to take on Fort Scott Community College at Cummings-Cecil Field on Wednesday afternoon. Earlier this season, the ladies won a pair on the road against the Greyhounds.

The Bucks would get it done in both games this afternoon in walk-off fashion: 7-6 in 8-innings and 7-6. Brenli Baker (Enid, OK) drove in the winning runs in both games to make the ladies winners of 13 of their last 14 games. The freshmen would lead the way with 6 hits on the day and drove in 3 runs.

Jaliyah Simmons (Muskogee, OK) would hit her 12th and 13th home runs on the season and drove in 5 runs in the doubleheader. She would score 6 times and scored the winning run in the second game. Emma Reynolds (Cayuga, TX) drove in 3 runs and extended her career triples record to 17. She is now three away from tying her own season record with 7 triples so far in 2025. Linley Collins (Whitesboro, OK) returned from injury and recorded 5 hits on the day, scoring 3 times in her normal leadoff spot. 

Kamryn Uher (Prairie Grove, AR) tied the season hit-by-pitch record this afternoon and extended her career lead to 15 in her time as a Buck.

In the circle, it took four ladies to get it done, as both relief pitchers got the wins. Holly Raney (Mayflower, AR) and Addisyn Wright (Buffalo Valley, OK) both came on in relief. Raney (7-3) pitched 4.0 innings in the extra innings win, giving up 0 runs, 1 hit, and struck out 7. Wright (5-3) worked 0.2 of an inning, striking out 2. The pitching staff recorded 16 strikeouts on the day. 

The Bucks are now 22-7 overall heading into their spring break. The ladies will return to action a week from Saturday, March 29th, to take on region foe ASU Newport at Cummings-Cecil Field.
