Arkansas City, KS – The Indian Hills Baseball squad dropped all four games of its weekend series at No. 18 Cowley College (KS). The Warriors moves to 3-7 overall on the year.
The Warriors dropped the first two matchups on Friday to the Tigers by identical scores of 7-1. Cowley completed the weekend sweep with 5-1 and 8-4 victories on Saturday.
Indian Hills combined for 11 hits on the opening day, but manufactured just two runs between the two contests. Freshman Diego Mendez (Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico/ESCAED) collected a pair of hits and an RBI in the opener while freshman Boris Rodriguez (San Sebastian, Puerto Rico/ESCAED) delivered the lone RBI in the nightcap.
The Warrior pitching staff scattered just four hits in the opener on Saturday, but the offense fell short once again. Sophomore Cale Clark (Marionville, MO/Marionville) recorded a double and an RBI in the loss. Game two saw the Warriors' most efficient offensive attack of the weekend, scoring four runs as sophomore Tijmen Nagel (Amsterdam, Netherlands/Roc Amsterdam) recorded a pair of RBI.
Indian Hills returns to action on March 8 for a doubleheader at Colby Community College (KS) in Colby, KS before heading to Kansas City Kansas Community College in Kansas City, KS for a twinbill on March 9.
