Garden City, KS-A two-minute stretch in the first half put Wednesday's contest out of reach in a hurry.
Carla Ruiz and Elsa Pelicant scored within 120 seconds of one another in the first half, and No. 13 Cowley routed Garden City 4-0 at Broncbuster Stadium.
Ruiz squeezed home a tough-angled shot for the Tigers first goal in the 25th minute. Two minutes after that, Pelicant beat Kelcie Turner for a 2-0 advantage. Natalie Lima added a goal in the 61st minute before Michaela Seahorn put the finishing touches on Cowley's dominating performance with a score in the final 60 seconds of the match.
The Broncbusters were outshot again, 21-4 and had no corner kicks, seeing how most of the match was played on their side of the field. Turner recorded nine saves.
Next up: at Johnson County-Saturday, May 1-12 p.m.
