The Barton Community College volleyball team took its second loss to open up the early conference season with a Saturday trip to Cloud County Community College resulting in a 25-21, 25-20, and 25-19 defeat.
Barton slips to 11-2 on the year while Cloud County improves to 2-3 in league and 5-4 overall. Playing the entire season thus far on the road, the Cougars will finally get to enjoy home court on Wednesday in welcoming Pratt Community College to the Barton Gym for a 6:30 p.m. first serve.
The Cougars struggled in the afternoon match, hitting at just a season low .066 attack with 20 errors, compounding the struggle with ten service errors.
Tasiah Nunnery and Molly Norris tied for team high honors with six kills each while Norris led the net defense with three of the Cougars' blocks. Iris Oosterbaan put up 22 assists as Hanna Miller led the back line with 17 digs in the three sets
