KJCCC West Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week, Week 6

KJCCC West Player of the Week: Max Towchik – Dodge City Community College
Dodge City baseball opened KJCCC play with a four-game series sweep of Pratt to move to 18-5 on the season and 4-0 in KJCCC action. The Conquistadors had plenty of offense throughout the series and Max Towchik was a big part of the offense. Towchik in game two of the series finished the game via run-rule blasting a grand slam to end the game as he was 3-5 with four runs scored, six RBI, and two home runs. In the two-games at Pratt, Towchik had three hits, four runs scored, three RBI, and a home run. On the season Towchik is batting .368 with 14 hits, 17 runs scored, 18 RBI, six home runs, a double, a triple, and six walks. 

KJCCC West Pitcher of the Week: Ethan Geisbrecht – Hutchinson Community College
Blue Dragon sophomore starter Ethan Giesbrecht tossed a one-hit complete-game shutout against Garden City in Game 1 of a four-game KJCCC sweep of the Broncbusters. Giesbrecht allowed a two-out first-inning single and then retired the final 13 batters he faced for his first career complete game and first career shutout. Giesbrecht struck out seven and walked none over his five innings.
