Butler, Independence Football Programs To Be Featured In ESPN+ NJCAA Football Games of the Week
Charlotte, NC - The NJCAA has announced the remaining four 2024 NJCAA DI Football Games of the Week on ESPN+. Included in the matchups will be two more Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference schools with number 15 ranked Butler Community College playing host to number five Snow College at 1:30 PM on Saturday, September 28th in El Dorado, Kansas while Independence Community College will play host to number eight Iowa Central Community College in a 1 PM matchup on Saturday, November 2nd in Independence, Kansas.

The two games featuring KJCCC schools announced on Friday afternoon include the previously announced matchup featuring number three Hutchinson taking on New Mexico Military Institute in a 6:30 PM kickoff on Thursday, August 29th in the season opener for both schools as the KJCCC will be featured in three of the five ESPN+ NJCAA Football Games of the Week in 2024.
September 28th will mark the second-straight season that Butler has been featured in the ESPN+ NJCAA Football Game of the Week as the Grizzlies appeared last season in their tilt with number nine ranked Dodge City Community College which ended in a 31-10 win for the Conquistadors. As for Independence, November 2nd will mark the first time that the Pirates have appeared on ESPN+ as they will take on an Iowa Central squad that has finished 7-4 in each of the last two seasons with the Tritons winning each of the last two matchups played between the schools with both games serving as season-opening games the past two years.
Broadcast details for both games will be announced at a later date as ESPN+ will handle all production details.
Other ESPN+ NJCAA Football Games of the Week set for the 2024 season include number six Trinity Valley Community College traveling to Tyler Junior College for a 7 PM kickoff on Saturday, September 14th in a matchup of Southwest Junior College Football Conference (SWJCFC) foes before seeing things in El Dorado take center stage for the NJCAA two weeks later. Following the Butler vs Snow clash on September 28th, number 10 ranked Copiah-Lincoln Community College will play host to number 11 ranked Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College to highlight the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference on Thursday, October 17th with a 6:30 PM kickoff.
The 2024 NJCAA Football season began on Thursday, August 22nd with the College of Dupage defeating Ellsworth Community College by a score of 48-13 while the KJCCC will see their 2024 seasons get underway on Saturday, August 24th when Independence heads to number six ranked Trinity Valley for a 7 PM kickoff. The remaining six KJCCC schools will all kick off their seasons the following week with non-conference tilts while the Pirates will have their first of two bye weeks.
