Coffeyville's Brec Long, Hutchinson's Kordell Gouldsby Earn NJCAA Football National POW Accolades
CHARLOTTE, NC – Two more Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Football Athletes of the Week have earned NJCAA Division 1 Football national accolades with Coffeyville’s Brec Long being named NJCAA Football Offensive Player of the Week and Hutchinson’s Kordell Gouldsby earning NJCAA Football Special Teams Player of the Week for their performances during week eight of the 2024 football season.

Brec Long – Coffeyville (NJCAA Division 1 Football Offensive Player of the Week)
Red Raven sophomore TE Brec Long turbo-charged Coffeyville's offense as the #14 Red Ravens defeated Iowa Central 31-20. Long hauled in 3 TD passes (51 yds, 56 yds, & 17 yds) to end his day with 3 receptions for 124 yards and 3 TDs. Long's 124 receiving yards was the first 100-yard receiving game for the Ravens since October 23, 2021.
Kordell Gouldsby – Hutchinson (NJCAA Division 1 Football Special Teams Player of the Week)
Blue Dragon return specialist Kordell Gouldsby played a huge role in the No. 1 Blue Dragons' 48-7 victory over Independence, accounting for 231 all-purpose yards, which is the seventh most all-purpose yards in Blue Dragon single-game history. Gouldsby had eight punt returns for 148 yards, including a 50-yard return for a touchdown in the third quarter. Gouldsby also had 83 yards on two Independence kickoffs.
