Following a 42-10 win over New Mexico Military Institution last Thursday, the Blue Dragons move up as previously ranked number two East Mississippi Community College drops eight spots after their home defeat to Mississippi Gulf Coast. The Blue Dragons will play in one of the top regular season games of the year this coming Saturday when they make the trip to Council Bluffs, Iowa to take on two-time defending National Champion and number one ranked Iowa Western who escaped with a 42-41 overtime win at number 12 Georgia Military College last Saturday afternoon.
Of the three new teams in the NJCAA Division 1 Football Rankings, the KJCCC makes up two of the teams as Highland enters the rankings in the number 13 spot following a 31-0 shutout of Monroe College while Dodge City won a 20-17 thriller over Tyler Junior College to be ranked number 15 in this week’s poll.
