COLBY, Kan. – Career outings for Barton Community College guard Brent Moss and Kansas City Kansas Community College guard BJ Stewart have led to Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week honors for the duo for week three of the 2024-25 season.
COLBY, Kan. – Career outings for Barton Community College guard Brent Moss and Kansas City Kansas Community College guard BJ Stewart have led to Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week honors for the duo for week three of the 2024-25 season.
Brent Moss – Barton (KJCCC Division 1 Men’s Basketball Player of the Week)
Barton sophomore Brent Moss averaged a double-double over his trio of contests for the number two-ranked Cougars. Shaking off a sluggish start to the week, Moss piled up a pair of career-high performances in a 75-72 win over NOC-Enid with 27 points and 15 rebounds. Moss finished the week with 10 points behind 60-percent shooting with four boards in 17 minutes of action in a 96-53 rout of Harry S. Truman.
BJ Stewart – KCKCC (KJCCC Division 2 Men’s Basketball Player of the Week)
BJ Stewart had a career night on Tuesday, November 12th against NJCAA Division 1 number 15 Hutchinson as he dropped a career-high 32 points while bringing down a team-high 14 rebounds. Shooting 47.7 percent from the field last week, Stewart averaged 21.3 points per game and had 8.3 rebounds per game. The forward from Lee's Summit, Missouri led the team in scoring in two of the three games and averaged 2.3 steals and 2.3 assists per contest last week.
