2024 KJCCC Division 2 Women's Soccer Players of the Week - Week 3
COLBY, Kan. – A 2-0-1 week for the Johnson County Community College women’s soccer team has led to a pair of repeat winners of the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 2 women’s soccer players of the week with forward Maya Wallace and goalkeeper Maddox Fergus each earning their second award of the year during week three of the 2024 season.
COLBY, Kan. – A 2-0-1 week for the Johnson County Community College women’s soccer team has led to a pair of repeat winners of the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 2 women’s soccer players of the week with forward Maya Wallace and goalkeeper Maddox Fergus each earning their second award of the year during week three of the 2024 season.
Maya Wallace - Wallace tallied three goals and added four assists for 10 points over three matches last week. After scoring two goals and providing two assists in a 12-0 drubbing of State Fair, Wallace helped the number four ranked Cavaliers earn a 3-0 win over number eight Iowa Central by netting a goal and assisting on the two other scores. JCCC finished the week by opening district play with a 0-0 draw at Central Community College on Saturday.
Maddox Fergus – Fergus saw action in only one match last week but stopped all six shots she faced to post a 3-0 shutout over number eight ranked Iowa Central. The shutout was her second of the season and ninth of her career as Fergus has not allowed a goal in the past 180 minutes she has played in net for the Cavaliers.
