Barton Community College sophomore Cougar Downing again was a consistent force for the Cougars, including burying a crucial late 3-pointer helping Barton go 1-1 for the week  Downing averaged 25.5 points per game including a 28-point effort at Garden City then followed with a 23-point afternoon knocking down a late shot clock long-range 3pointer keeping Barton in front with just a minute to play.  Finishing over 51 percent shooting from the field on 33 shots, Downing also sank 87.5 percent (14 of 16) from the charity stripe, dished out 3.5 assists, and grabbed 4.5 rebounds per contest.
