Dodge City men's basketball went 2-0 last week and claimed a share of the KJCCC title. Jason Edwards once again put together another strong week for the Conquistadors. He opened the week dropping 29 points on 8 of 17 shooting and 11 of 12 from the free-throw line adding five rebounds and two assists in the road win over Colby. He followed that up with 24 points on 7 of 17 shooting and 5 of 5 from the free throw line while grabbing seven rebounds.

Edwards on the season is averaging 22.5 points per game on 48.8 percent shooting and 39.9 percent from 3-point range, while adding 3.8 rebounds, two assists, and 1.3 steals per game. He ranks fourth in the nation in points scored with 653 and 10^th in points per game, while ranking seventh in field goals made at 225. His 653 points and 225 field goals each rank fourth all-time in a single season in school history, while ranking eighth in three-pointers made in single season (79).
