KJCCC DIV. I MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK - WEEK 15
Dodge City men's basketball went 2-0 last week and claimed a share of the KJCCC title. Jason Edwards once again put together another strong week for the Conquistadors. He opened the week dropping 29 points on 8 of 17 shooting and 11 of 12 from the free-throw line adding five rebounds and two assists in the road win over Colby. He followed that up with 24 points on 7 of 17 shooting and 5 of 5 from the free throw line while grabbing seven rebounds.
Edwards on the season is averaging 22.5 points per game on 48.8 percent shooting and 39.9 percent from 3-point range, while adding 3.8 rebounds, two assists, and 1.3 steals per game. He ranks fourth in the nation in points scored with 653 and 10th in points per game, while ranking seventh in field goals made at 225. His 653 points and 225 field goals each rank fourth all-time in a single season in school history, while ranking eighth in three-pointers made in single season (79).
