(KJCCC) March 11, 2023 WICHITA, Kan. – The Region VI Division II basketball playoffs were held at MidAmerica Nazarene University, and Johnson County swept both the men's and women's titles.

In "The Olathe Regional' semifinals, the Johnson County women beat the Allen Red Devils 77-43. In the other semi, Labette took care of Neosho County 91-81 to advance and face the Lady Cavaliers for the D2 women's title. The championship had Johnson coming out on top in a three-overtime barnburner, 71-65.

The Johnson County men started the Olathe semi with a 82-64 win over Fort Scott.
In the championship final, the Cavaliers punched their ticket to nationals with a Saturday matinee victory over Allen, 80-56.

The Lady Cavaliers play in the national tournament in Port Huron MI. March 21-25. The Johnson County men head to Danville IL. for the men's national tourney during the same dates.
