Finishing a perfect 14-0 in conference play to complete just their second unbeaten conference mark in program history, the Cavaliers will enter the postseason looking for a third-straight NJCAA Region 6 Tournament title as JCCC has won each of the past two tournaments and five of the past eight tournaments dating back to the 2017 season. Since their last loss on January 9th, the Cavaliers have reeled off 15 straight wins to conclude the regular season with a 27-3 overall record.
Finishing two games back of Johnson County with a 12-2 mark in conference play to earn the number two seed is Kansas City Kansas Community College as last year’s KJCCC regular season champions are ranked number 20 in the latest NJCAA Division 2 top 25 poll and carry a 22-8 mark into the postseason. The only two losses in conference play for KCKCC came to Johnson County with the Blue Devils taking care of business against everyone else despite not being able to play a true home game this season due to gymnasium renovations.
Highland finished third with an 8-6 record in league action with Allen a game back of the Scotties to finish fourth and earn the final first-round hosting opportunity with Hesston, Fort Scott, Neosho County, and Labette all facing road games to open the 2025 postseason.
