CHARLOTTE, NC – Week 15 Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division1 Men’s Basketball Player of the Week Chase Harris has added national accolades after the Fort Hays Tech Northwest sophomore guard was named NJCAA Division 1 Men's Basketball Player of the Week honors on Wednesday, February 26th.

Harris lit up the scoreboard for Fort Hays Tech Northwest last week, leading the Tigers to a perfect 3-0 week which included a home upset of Barton Community College to cap off the week. Starting with a 39-point outing against Pratt, Harris added 11 rebounds and four steals against the Beavers in a 90-86 win before scoring 14 points and grabbing another 11 rebounds as FHNW defeated Dodge City 87-84 on the road. Finishing the week against the number 13 ranked Cougars, Harris scored 15 points on five-of-eight shooting and added six rebounds and three assists as the Tigers earned a 99-92 win. Harris is the second-leading scorer in the KJCCC this season at 21.9 points per contest, ranking 11th among all NJCAA D1 players.
