KJCCC Men's Basketball Players of the Week - Week 1
COLBY, Kan. – Leading their teams to three combined wins over the opening weekend of the 2024-25 NJCAA Basketball season, Independence guard Chiante Tramble and Fort Scott guard Justin Daniels have each earned the first Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week awards of the season.
COLBY, Kan. – Leading their teams to three combined wins over the opening weekend of the 2024-25 NJCAA Basketball season, Independence guard Chiante Tramble and Fort Scott guard Justin Daniels have each earned the first Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week awards of the season.
Chiante Tramble – Independence (KJCCC Division 1 Men’s Basketball Player of the Week)
Tramble helped Independence win two games on the opening weekend of the season to help ICC eclipse last year's win total as the Pirates defeated Northern Oklahoma-Tonkawa 92-82 before earning a 109-56 win over Labette. In the season opener, Tramble scored 25 points and added four rebounds before pouring in another 30 points in the victory against Labette.
Justin Daniels – Fort Scott (KJCCC Division 2 Men’s Basketball Player of the Week)
Daniels helped Fort Scott to a 70-60 home win over NJCAA D1 Seward County as the sophomore had a 25-point, 12-rebound double-double for the Scotties. Shooting 42.1 percent from the field, Daniels led all scorers in the game and added five steals defensively.
