KJCCC Men's Basketball Players of the Week - Week 8
COLBY, Kan. – With Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference men’s basketball action getting back into the swing of things last week, Barton’s James Parlow Jr. and Johnson County’s Brandon Mann are the week eight KJCCC Men’s Basketball Players of the Week after leading their respective teams to home wins.
James Parlow Jr. – Barton (KJCCC Division 1 Men’s Basketball Player of the Week)
Making just his third start of the season, James Parlow Jr. returned from the holiday break putting up career high numbers in number 17 Barton's home win over Mineral Area. The sophomore scored 15 of his game high 22 points in second half action while shooting eigh-of-10 from the field and two-of-two from outside with seven rebounds pulled down in 35 minutes of action.
Brandon Mann – Johnson County County (KJCCC Division 2 Men’s Basketball Player of the Week)
Cavalier sophomore forward Brandon Mann helped lead number 14 Johnson County to an 89-77 home victory to open the 2025 portion of their schedule. Mann poured in a game-high 19 points, making six-of-10 shots and connected on seven-of-eight free throw attempts. The sophomore also grabbed four rebounds and is leading JCCC in scoring at 13.8 points per contest through 12 games this season.
