KJCCC Men's Basketball Players of the Week - Week 9
COLBY, Kan. – Picking up where they left off to begin the month of January, Barton’s Brent Moss and Highland’s Rashad Kee each used strong performances to earn Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week honors for week nine of the 2024-25 season.
Brent Moss – Barton (KJCCC Division 1 Men’s Basketball Player of the Week)
Brent Moss fashioned a pair of double-double performances on the week averaging 18 points behind 52.2-percent shooting and 11.5 rebounds. Moss opened his week putting together a stat stuffing night with 17 points, 13 rebounds for his fifth double-double of the season while adding career highs of five assists and three steals in the win over Fort Hays Tech Northwest. The sophomore capped his week with another double-double outing scoring a team high 19 points and 10 rebounds to lead all five of Barton's starters in double-digit scoring in the victory at Colby.
Rashad Kee – Highland (KJCCC Division 2 Men’s Basketball Player of the Week)
Kee had a huge game for Highland to open conference play, with a season-high 25-point outing. The Amityville, N.Y., sophomore added two assists and two steals in the Scotties win over Hesston and was critical from the free throw line in both Scottie wins. Kee was perfect against the Larks and went five-of-six (including part of a perfect six-for-six stretch by Highland in the final two minutes) in the Scotties' 61-51 upset of number 18 St. Louis Community College on Wednesday.
