Caleb recorded a pair of double-doubles in two games this weekend as the Grizzlies went 1-1, losing a close game on the road at No. 16 Hutchinson and beating Barton 86-66. Playing in his hometown against Hutchinson, Caleb had team highs in points with 19 and rebounds with 16, including a reverse layup with four minutes left that gave the Grizzlies a one-point lead. Playing at home against Barton, Walker had 16 points and 15 rebounds, triggering a second-half run in which Butler outscored Barton 31-12 to take control of the contest. For the week, Walker shot 50 percent or better from the floor and beyond the 3-point line.

Neosho’s Antione Lundy helped lead the Panthers to 12 and 4 on the season and a 4-1 record since the break. Over the last four games Lundy averaged 19.25 points, 13.5 rebounds, shot 51% from the field and 80% from the free-throw line.st four games.

David Luster averaged 27.7 points in three games last week, and set a new JCCC single game record for 3-pointers made in the process.  Luster began the week with 25 points in a 78-83 road loss to Labette, then followed with 22 in a 72-75 home loss to Cowley and a career high 36 in a 91-62 home win over Fort Scott.  Against the Greyhounds, Luster hit 9-of-14 shots from 3-point range, breaking a 19-year old record for 3-pointers in a game.

Smith continued to dazzle onlookers this week leading Seward County to their 8th and 9th straight wins on the season.  The sophomore fueled a furious late comeback against fellow 3-0 Pratt on Wednesday with an 18 point, 9 rebound, 9 assist performance before turning around Saturday night and putting up another near triple-double with 23 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists against Cloud County.
