Freshman Coretta Hall helped the Highland Scotties to a big 3-0
week. Hall played just 19 minutes but scored 8 points and grabbed 7
boards as HCC pulled away from Southeast Nebraska early in the big
win on Tuesday night. Hall saved her best work for the big
weekend against Region VI rival when she recorded back to back
double-doubles. Against Hesston she went for 21 and 10 and
also blocked 2 shots and had 2 steals. Against a Brown Mackie
squad receiving votes in the most recent poll she scored 20 points,
grabbed 11 boards, and even had the game winning assist. |

Knoll had a big weekend for the Lady Saints, averaging a
double-double while leading Seward to wins over previously
undefeated Northeastern on Friday night and perennial power NEO on
Saturday night in the Pizza Hut Classic. Friday against 9-0
NJC, Knoll had a game high 16 points and ripped down a career high
14 rebounds, helping Seward to a one point win. On Saturday
against NEO, she again put up double digit rebounds with 11 but
more importantly hit a game winning shot with 1.5 seconds remaining
on the clock to beat the Lady Norse in a rematch of the 2002 NJCAA
National Championship game. She finished the week averaging
12 points and 12.5 rebounds per game for Seward.
