Tamara JonesGarden City Community College 6’ Sophomore Prosser, WA Jones had another big week for Garden leading the Broncbusters to three wins on the week. She shot extremely well in the first two games posting a 50% field goal percentage and an 80% free throw percentage. She also led Garden’s come back victory over Cloud County to jump a spot ahead of the T-Birds in the conference standings. Jones scored 21 points in the last six minutes of regulation and the two overtimes including hitting six free throws down in the stretch in the second overtime to secure the victory for the Broncbusters. She was also huge on the boards as she grabbed 12 rebounds in each game to go with grabbing nine steals on the week. Weekly Statistics |
Kaheem RansomSeward County Community College 6' 180 Sophomore Wichita, KS Ransom stepped up big for Seward once again this week, helping the Saints to a pair of wins to bring them even with Hutchinson at the top of the Jayhawk West standings. Monday against Cloud County he scored 16 first half points and rested the second in a 68-39 blowout win over the T-Birds. On Saturday at Dodge City he played all 40 minutes of the Saints 79-65 win, scoring a game high 22 points and dishing out 6 assists. On the week he averaged 19 points and 5 assists while shooting 57% from the field and 50% from the three point line. Weekly Statistics |
