Shicole WattsGarden City Community College 6’ Sophomore Grove City, OH Watts was huge late in the game against Butler as she scored 18 of her 23 in the second half and the overtimes. Her dominant play on the boards was one of the keys to Garden pulling out a hard fought victory in the first game of Jayhawk West play. Algie KeyBarton Community College 6'4" 172 Sophomore Decatur, GA Sophomore guard Algie Key put together three solid games for No. 9 ranked Barton Community College averaging nineteen points and over eight rebounds. Included in his week’s performance was helping to lead the Cougars to a conference opening 79-66 win at pre-season conference favorite Seward County and snapping a six-game losing streak to the Saints. Despite the Cougars falling from the unbeaten in their overtime loss to Paris Junior College earlier in the week, Key was able to record his third double-double of the season and tenth of his career having just missed another double-double the previous night.
