Hesston sophomore catcher Caleb Stull batted .600 (6-for-10) in the Larks season-opening series against Richland. He has three doubles, a triple, a home run, scored four times and drove in four runs. He also had 27 putouts without an error and threw out one of two runners attempting to steal.
Johnson County Community College right-handed pitcher Sloan Thomsen pitched a seven inning, three-hit shutout over Brookhaven Saturday afternoon to help the Cavaliers take the four game series, 3-1. Thomsen also struck out five batters.
